Mixmasters: These guys were the first shop in town to stock our slides. They’ve got some unusual guitars in their showroom and have all the audio gear you’ll ever need. These guys have been really generous in teaching us a thing or two about microphones and other recording gear and have been instrumental in helping to set up the Stobie Sounds mobile recording studio. Check ‘em out.
Salvi’s Fine Guitars: Located just down the road from the Slide Workshop – stocks a small range of Stobie Slides. Custom made handcrafted guitars and bespoke instruments ~ Restoration and Repairs ~ Handbuilt Acoustic Guitars, Electric Guitars, Lap Steel and Lap Slide Guitars, Dobros, Bass Guitars ~ based in Adelaide, South Australia.
Twang Central: THE place to go to drool over vintage and second hand guitars and Amps. These guys stock a huuuuuge range of Stobie Slides.
Derringers: These guys keep about 30 Stobie Slides in stock at any one time. You’re bound to find the perfiect slide down at the Forrestville showroom.
Etiko Fair Trade Clothing: We get all our blank t-shirts shipped from Etiko, Australia’s best wholesaler of fair trade and sweatshop free clothing.
Stumptown Printers: Oldskool printers based in Portland, Oregan who offer cool packaging ideas for anyone releasing music. We source all our blank CD and 7″ vinyl sleeves from these guys. Great for anyone who screen or block prints their own albums!
Bob Brozman: Great slide resource from Bob Brozman, the global ambassador of contemporary slide guitar.
Caskets Direct: Why get ripped off by the multi-national corps who control the funeral industry like capitalist tyrants? Here’s a great Australian family company who strive to provide a local and affordable option for caskets, urns and other things we all need in those times of grief. Keep ‘em in mind.
Diamond Bottleneck Slides: The grand daddy of handcrafted slides made in Britain. For something totally luscious why not have a gander at their handblown lead-crystal slides.
